This 1904 LCC ‘Tudor’ fire station and adjacent stable had been semi-abandoned and left to decay for some years when Haringey Borough Council asked us to convert it to housing. We saved all the interesting architectural features, while providing 2 substantial houses and 2 flats from this distinctive landmark. Besides this we were proud to involve the tenants in consultation and to provide a community garden and landscaping which transformed the dreary back area.
