Flats: Conversion into Flats in Highgate, London
This 1904 LCC ‘Tudor’ fire station and adjacent stable had been semi-abandoned and left to decay for some years when Haringey Borough Council asked us to convert it to housing.
We saved all the interesting architectural features, while providing two substantial houses and two flats from this distinctive landmark. Besides this we were proud to involve the tenants in consultation and to provide a community garden and landscaping which transformed the dreary back area.
