New House in the Chilterns

We succeeded in winning planning permission where the previous architect had failed twice for this sensitive site atop the Chilterns.

The principal rooms follow the sun overlooking the views to the south and west. To the north bathrooms/garage and the main entrance buffer the house against the winds. The materials are recycled red tiles and bricks implanted with panels of local flint.

The effect is stunning, a new house which seems to have always belonged here.
